A lakefront cabin where the water is the first thing you see in the morning and the last thing you sit with at night.
The vaulted ceiling makes 768 square feet feel far bigger than the number suggests, and the wood stove takes care of the evenings that turn cool. Three bedrooms and a bathroom mean you can actually have people stay, and the guest house gives whoever comes their own front door.
Most of the living happens outside. The lake-facing deck runs 32 by 10, wide enough for coffee at one end and everyone else at the other, and the screen room is where you end up once the bugs come out. A shed out back takes care of storage.
It is set up for the whole year, not just July. Newer private well, holding tank and 200-amp service, so a February weekend is as easy as an August one. One hour north of Gimli, and worth the drive.
